“I started the idea that eventually became the Juney Dune Foundation when I was running an after-school program in Salt Lake City, Utah. I really enjoyed having the freedom to try different teaching strategies and come up with games and stories to help the kids learn. I created a small program for kindergarteners that focused on mantras and feeling strong in who they were—something the parents especially loved. I later moved back home to Florida, around the time COVID started, and began learning more about color and music therapy. I was inspired to take my passion and experience and turn it into a children’s book—one that taught the same ideas from the kindergarten program, but now enriched with the new concepts I was learning.

The book broke into an entirely new realm when I moved to Hilo, Hawaii, and began my journey in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy. I worked as an in-home registered behavioral technician (RBT) and was introduced to children who completely changed the way I saw learning. They showed me how impactful effective teaching strategies could truly be. This passion only grew when I moved to Chandler, Arizona—where I also met my partner in the foundation, Aidyn Curtis. Together, we saw a growing need for a resource that would support families, children and our fellow therapist. One that was fun and engaging for our kids. That’s when the Juney Dune Foundation truly began to flourish. I began pursuing a master’s degree in Learning Design, which deepened my understanding of how to create educational experiences that are meaningful, inclusive, and engaging for all types of learners. I took the book I had been working on for so many years and finally shaped it into what it was always meant to be- a tool to help children with autism learn in a fun, engaging way —while also helping their teachers and parents learn the strategies that we, as RBT’s, found so useful.

Now our goal is to spread our experience to all who are in need.”

We create specialized learning resources that foster skill development in a fun and interactive manner using trusted therapy techniques we have grown to love through our experiences.

ABA Therapy

A kind of therapy that evolved from applied science to help children with ASD learn new skills and manage challenging behaviors through positive reinforcement techniques.

Music Therapy

The use of music to improve mental and physical health and well-being.

Color Therapy

Color therapy, also known as chromotherapy, is the use of colored light and imagery to treat mental and physical health conditions. It's based on the idea that surrounding colors can subtly change mood and biology.
